Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this full-time role, you will support a range of payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant employee payments across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients daily to collect payroll data, including pay changes, special payments, deductions, and tax adjustments.
Accurately enter payroll information to meet strict processing deadlines.
Ensure timely and error-free payroll for each pay cycle.
Deliver exceptional customer service to support client retention and satisfaction.
Stay current with payroll systems, wage/tax law changes, and compliance updates.
Research and resolve payroll and system-related issues.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and third-party agencies.
Respond promptly to payroll-related emails and phone inquiries.
Maintain confidentiality and follow all company policies and procedures.
Process benefit-related items, including COBRA notifications and updates to benefit systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of office experience, with a strong background in data entry, customer service, and problem resolution.
Prior payroll experience in a service bureau environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of payroll laws, tax withholding, benefits deductions, and employee pay standards.
Strong understanding of COBRA laws and benefit plan administration.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Proven ability to multi-task, stay calm under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
Team-oriented with a professional attitude and a commitment to high-quality service.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
PAY DOE $22.00 to $24.00
